The great applications do not want to leave anyone out, even those who have a mobile phone with hardly any free space, and the easiest solution is to launch a light version. Twitter did the same with Twitter Lite about a year ago, and now the experiment improves and becomes a little less lite.
In the first big update of Twitter Lite arrive much anticipated news. This is the case of push notifications, night mode, saved items or the ability to save images on your mobile. It is also available on Google Play in 21 other countries.
Now in 48 countries
Twitter Lite reaches 21 more countries on Google Play. The availability of Argentina, Belarus, Dominican Republic, Ghana, Guatemala, Honduras, India, Indonesia, Jordan, Kenya, Lebanon, Morocco, Nicaragua, Paraguay, Romania, Turkey, Uganda, Ukraine, Uruguay, Yemen and Zimbabwe is added.
These are added to the 24 countries for which it was already available, reaching a total of 48 countries. If you are not sure if it is available for your country or not, the easiest thing is that you go to Google Play and try it. And if it is not, there’s no problem: you can always download the APK.

With notifications and night mode
Among the novelties of this update include push notifications, which will undoubtedly be very welcome by those who were thinking of switching to lighter Twitter. These work well, without any addition (you can not answer them from the notification, as in the normal app).
There is also the night mode, accessible from the side menu and which in this case is manual and can not be configured to change by itself. The look is very similar to the night mode of the normal Twitter app.

With threads and saved images
The threads also arrive, which you can now create directly from the application and the possibility of downloading images after making a long touch on them. Twitter also mentions in its change list the possibility of saving tweets for later, although I personally do not see that news yet. Maybe it’s activated little by little.
In summary, Twitter Lite is much less lite and can do almost the same as normal Twitter. As for storage space, without counting caches or data, Twitter is around 62 MB, while Twitter Lite occupies 2.7 MB.
