What Does a Web Designer Do?

Web design is not as easy as you might think. There are many aspects to web design. Most of the time, the web designers spend a lot of time thinking about what they are going to make people look at, in order to tell whether or not that company or product is even worth spending time on. A lot of people don’t like to do graphic design, but it is very important for web designers. It’s all about putting their customer’s needs ahead of their own needs sometimes; although more often than not, their clients would rather have the web designers make the decisions for them. Most of the time, there are a few different types of work that are involved when a person gets into web design and web development. A graphic artist may not be able to do flash web development, but they can create a lot of other cool things such as banners, buttons, logos and much more. A web designer might work for a company creating website design and then for some, creating website content. There are also web developers who are creating the actual software and programs used by the website.

If you’re a good designer, you could end up specialising in something or becoming a generalist. Of course, most web designers need to have a thorough knowledge of web development in order to perform well, but there are some people who specialise in only one thing.
